Koh Samui to Khao Sok by Bus and Ferry
The most economic way of getting to Khao Sok National Park from Koh Samui is by going on a bus and ferry.
The Koh Samui to Khao Sok services run everyday, throughout the week, and the journey takes a total of eight hours. Like our other transfer services, you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to the Nathon Bus Station in an air-conditioned mini-bus. At the station, you will claim your bus and ferry tickets for Khao Sok by exchanging your printed vouchers.
All the buses are spacious, comfortable, and air-conditioned. This trip begins with a short trip to the car ferry port where you will board the ferry and head to Donsak for the mainland port town. This crossing will take only an hour and a half. The ferry ride is also very comfortable and there is plenty of seating onboard the vessel, as well as an air-conditioned area, a sundeck, toilet, a shop with reasonable priced food and snacks; some ferries also have massage services on board. The ferries are very well maintained under strict Thai Navy regulations, and remain stable in harsh weather and strong waves. But the people suffering from seasickness are advised to take medication for it at least twenty minutes before departure.
Upon reaching Donsak, you will board the bus again and head to the Surat Thani Bus Station, a trip that will take a total of eighty minutes. At the bus terminal, you will switch your bus to continue your journey to Khao Sok National Park. During the switching, you will have half an hour to rest, relax, and buy food and snacks. The remaining journey to Khao Sok will only take three hours.
